Introducing
Bonnie & Klyde
At ten years old, Sandman (Alex Brown) picked up a guitar and started exploring his musical talents
with the well-known band, Nirvana, as his inspiration. Over the next couple of years,
he trained his voice and started writing his own lyrics. By twelve years old he was overlaying
cassette tapes on a karaoke machine with his own acoustical music. Lyrics soon were turned
into rap verses while his acoustical sound was combined with hip hop. After saving some money
from working odd jobs, he invested in a mixing board and a computer then taught himself how to use
mixing programs and MIDI synthesizers to apply them to his evolving music. Throughout the years,
Ayo' B (Britney Mckoy) was just a best friend watching over his shoulder but little did Sandman know, she was
learning to be his future partner in IGNF Productions. With the coming of Upon A Star, the
opportunity of an empty verse was too much to resist. Ayo' B recorded her first track at 17,
thus beginning the "Bonnie & Klyde" collaboration.
Sandman & Ayo' B started recording and working together to make their own beats. Spending hours
at a time perfecting their sound, they created a new genre of music. It isn't rock, acoustic, hip hop, or alternative. They've strayed from the known definition of rap music and combined it with their own style.
In their words, their music is categorized as Catharsis (meaning the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from, strong or repressed emotions.) In their spare time, Bonnie & Klyde convert
their tracks into an acoustic version for the joy of what they call "jam sessions," and plan to release a full acoustic album of their favorite songs.
I'm sure you all are wondering where the names Bonnie & Klyde come into play. Well to make a long story short,
from age thirteen to present day, they went through plenty of hardships and always worked together to, basically, get what
they wanted out of each situation. After getting into and out of their fair share of trouble, they realized that
after so many years they were more than best friends. Now, if you know the story behind the real Bonnie & Clyde,
you should be getting the connection by this point.
Ayo' B and Sandman are presently engaged and are living out their lives happily, producing and
writing music. With every new track, they inch closer towards gaining their dream of fame and fortune in the music industry,
together, as "modern day Bonnie & Klyde."
